Description
A lipoprotein that causes the cholesterol to remain on the arteries walls, giving rise to atherosclerosis (blocked arteries).
Testing moment
A 12 to 14 hour fasting prior to blood sampling is needed. It is important to have a light meal the evening before and to have avoided alcohol in the last 24 hours.
