Firstly, you have to get a medical prescription in order to undergo the tests.
The test results are generally available in a short period of time, that is between 24 and 48 hours and sent immediately to your referring physician’s office.
You may also request a copy for your personal medical file.

Complete blood count, AC glucose, Surface antigen Hepatitis B, IgG and IgM toxoplasmosis, IgG and IgM rubella, , Parvovirus B19, Chlamydia and Gonorrhea in the urine by PCR, Type 1 and 3 HIV, Syphilis (VDRL), IgG and IgM CMV or Cytomegalovirus, Urinalysis, IgG measles, IgM measles, Blood group and Rh, Maternal antibody research, Urine culture etc.
For the women pregnant between the 11.6th and the 13.6th week (first quarter) :

For the women pregnant between the 15th and the 22nd week (second quarter) :
The tests generally required by family doctors or gynecologists are :
Total beta-HCG, Estradiol, Estriol, Alpha fetoprotein, Prenatest – 2nd quarter (the test for trisomy detection)
Profiles for pregnancy diabetes or gestational diabetes, offered at home :
This diabetes detection test is usually carried out between the 24th and the 28th week of pregnancy.
GTT 50g (1 hour after 50 g of glucose)
This test enables the measurement of the glycemia rate in the blood one hour after having ingested 50 grams of glucose, in order to see whether the pregnant woman has got gestational diabetes or not.
GTT 75g (2 hours after 75g of glucose)
This test enables the measurement of the glycemia rate in the blood two hours after having ingested 75 grams of glucose, in order to see whether the pregnant woman has got gestational diabetes or not.
A blood test including the complete blood count or the hemogram (CBC) may be asked at the same moment during a pregnancy monitoring episode.

All our tests require a medical prescription recommended by any practicing doctor in the province of Quebec.
These prescriptions are necessary in order to proceed with either test and we urge that all medical requests originating from offices or clinics be duly identified.
